When we really start to examine our manifestation process it becomes clear that there seems to be some confusion about what we want to manifest and what ends up manifesting. Many times we can feel confused or frustrated by the apparent lack of communication between our desires and the universe. In order to understand this phenomenon further we need to examine our internal process more closely- What exactly is a desire, and where do they come from?
A desire is not a wish that your heart makes, it is your hearts way of letting you know what you have coming to you.
A desire is more than just an attraction to something you feel you need, it is actually your higher-selfs way of communicating to you what you have coming to you. Without desire there would be no magnetic pull to attract what you need for next level of expansion in this life. Desires are your higher-self’s way of preparing you for your next step. At times needing something can be perceived as feeling an internal void or a sense of lack, this is because we feel the gap of not yet experiencing it. It must be said that there is no time when it comes to the heart; we simply perceive time between our manifestations because we are third dimensional beings and we need a linear time paradigm to function. Once we start accepting that concept our focus shifts from chasing dreams, to aligning with them knowing we wouldn’t even want it unless it was on its way to us right now.
Emotion is pure magnetics.
The emotion of desire is a powerful, healthy feeling that tunes and focus’ us in on the next step in our life. The feeling of desire allows you to ease your dreams into your existence. Once you have a desire consciously or unconsciously you begin making room for it, you start to become familiar with it, you start to make it real and ground it into your physical reality. When we fully realize this process we begin to see that dreams are not random or irrelevant to your existence; they are directly connected to your heart and the key to your happiness in this life.
If the heart is so powerful and desires are actually indicators of what is on its way to us right now why am I not manifesting what I feel I need?
One word. Ego. Our egos have the potential of clouding and undermining all communications from the heart. It is this phenomenon that slows down the process of manifestation. In order for something to materialize into our physical reality our third dimensional consciousness needs to acknowledge it and align with it as much as possible. That means your belief systems must be conducive to what you want to manifest.
If there are belief systems within you that directly conflict with the potential reality you are manifesting, your manifestation will become paralyzed until you can release the belief systems and get out of the way. If you are wanting a better life and it is not happening for you, it means you need to release the patterns, relationships, activities, habits, etc. that are in conflict with your potential. You must be willing to step into the void, even though it can feel uncomfortable, if you want to manifest a better reality
The ego is a lower aspect of our consciousness that enables us to function in third dimensional reality. It forms belief systems around past experiences “protecting” and “helping” us live in the future. The lower aspect of our consciousness (our ego) is often at odds with our higher self (the heart), as they each aid our consciousness in experiencing in our 3.D world. The Ego has its own standards, agenda, and set of desires, and it must be said that the agenda of the ego is usually fairly shallow, fear based and predictable.
If we want to get good at manifesting we need to develop clarity through distinguishing if the desires we have are based in the ego or based in the heart.
Ego Based Desires
Ego based desires can be easily identified as they are usually shallow and empty feeling upon examination. A good indicator that your ego is running the show is if you have strong desire for fame or money, as these are not concepts that make sense to the heart. The heart knows abundance and recognition is a product of a balanced and healthy relationship between the ego and the heart. The ego will often form its desires around fears you have developed as opposed to what makes you genuinely happy. Ego based desires can also be overly competitive, self-serving and greedy; this is because the ego is always concerned with having more. The ego believes in stockpiling, scarcity, and lack and it is always concerned with protecting you from them. The ego can also encourage you to make overly safe decisions and hinder your progress as it deems taking risks as unsafe or ridiculous. The ego only bases its judgments on what it knows; it is not capable of perceiving outside the box and does not consider your “potential” to be real. Ego based fears string you along because you feel as though you are looking out for yourself or protecting yourself. It may be helpful to dig deep and consider the roots of your desires before you start taking action toward them.
Heart Based Desires
One of the biggest mistakes people make during the manifestation process is believing that all of their desires are from their heart when in fact they are rooted in the ego. The messages from our hearts are much different than the fear based desires of our egos. The ego is concerned with the future and obsessed with the past where as the heart only knows the present moment and communicates with you based on what you need right now. It will guide you to pursue activities that have always interested you and given you joy even if you don’t currently understand how they can help you. If you follow the heart in these activities it will show you through the present moment how you can make what you love to do your reality.
The heart pulls us out of our comfort zone. It challenges us and knows exactly what we can handle and what we need to grow and step into our true potential. When we trust our heart we feel free and excited yet frightened about letting go of the protective padding we formed around ourselves.
The heart can feel mysterious as it is always 10 steps ahead and pulling the strings on the higher levels of reality, as opposed to the ego, which usually makes “logical sense.” Sometimes the guidance from our heart will not make sense to our logical mind this is because in order to create change and experience shifts in your reality you must go outside what you believe to be safe. Staying within the confines of the ego goes against our natural process of expansion and can feel increasingly painful the longer we avoid taking responsibility.
Is this an ego want or a heart want?
The quiet pull of the heart challenges us, as it is the vehicle of change in our lives. The trick to manifesting your true potential into your reality is deciding whether the desire that you have is based in ego or based in the heart. Once you start to get good at distinguishing them allow yourself to start taking some small risks in homage to your heart, get a feel for it. Contrary to popular belief following your heart is not usually about making drastic life changes that shock your system; it’s about choosing to live from your heart in this moment. Many times when tragedies or painfully dramatic moments occur it is because we have ignored our hearts whispers and as a result all that energy builds up and eventually attracts a painful, eye opening experience. It impossible to fully ignore the magnetic pull of the heart in your life. When you live from your heart you make decisions from your heart, you build a rapport with your heart and your life will move effortlessly in the direction of your highest potential. Change happens gradually, in ways that you can handle, if you let go.
